Cost of AWW is $350 which includes all meals and snacks, Live music
reception on Thursday night, Closing Ceremony and public readings, and lessons from our nationally known faculty. The 2026 AWW faculty includes:

Lee Martin is the author of eight novels, including The Bright Forever, a
finalist for the 2006 Pulitzer Prize in Fiction. He has also published four
memoirs and two short story collections in addition to the craft book, Telling
Stories. His most recent book is the novel, The Evening Shades. He is the
winner of the Mary McCarthy Prize in Short Fiction and fellowships from the
National Endowment for the Arts and the Ohio Arts Council. He teaches in
the MFA Program at The Ohio State University.

Kari Gunter-Seymour is the Poet Laureate of Ohio and the Executive
Director of the Women of Appalachia Project and editor of its anthology
series Women Speak. She is the author of three award winning poetry
collections, including DIRT SONGS, winner of the IPPY Bronze, NYC Big
Book and Feathered Quill Awards. Gunter-Seymour is a retired instructor in
the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University and the founder,
curator, and host of Spoken & Heard, a seasonal performance series
featuring poets, writers, and musicians from across the country. Her work
has been featured in a variety of journals and publications
including American Book Review, Poem-a-Day, World Literature
Today and The New York Times.

Michael Thomas Ford has written books for readers of all ages. His books for
adults include the novels LILY (finalist for the Shirley Jackson Award), WHAT WE
REMEMBER (winner of the Lambda Literary Award for best mystery), and a
trilogy about Jane Austen living as a modern-day vampire (winner of absolutely
nothing, but very popular with readers). His novels for young adults include
SUICIDE NOTES and EVERY STAR THAT FALLS, and
for middle grade readers he’s written THE HEADLESS DOLL, THE LONELY
GHOST, and a lot of other spooky titles.
