Michael Ford
Mike Ford likes to say that people don’t choose Amesville, Amesville chooses them. The village chose him in 2019, when he and his husband Steve purchased a house built in 1877 for the family of Dr. William Adair, the village physician. The house was later home to Thomas Ewing Clark, who married Dr. Adair’s daughter Rena and was Amesville’s mayor for many years. Living in such an historic home may or may not have inspired Mike to join the village council, where he served for five years before becoming mayor himself in 2026. When he isn’t mayoring, Mike is writing and has published a lot of books. You can find out more about those at www.michaelthomasford.com.

Adrienne Tevis
Adrienne Tevis was born and raised just outside of Amesville, a place that has always felt like home. She’s a second-generation owner of Airclaws Heating and Cooling, proudly located in Amesville in the building that once housed the Manna House — where she remembers stopping in for penny candy as a kid. When she’s not working, Adrienne enjoys traveling, being outdoors, and spending time with family.

George Wood
George Wood has lived with his wife, Marcia Burchby, in Amesville since 1981. They raised their two sons, Michael and John here. George has been both high school principal and school superintendent in the local school system and has served on both the Amesville Village Council and the Amesville Volunteer Fire Department. He likes to hike, fly fish, and writes fiction about live and times in Clemens, a small Appalachian town based on Amesville.
